Born 1966 in Varaždin. Trained at the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb, the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Akademie der bildenden Künste), and completed postgraduate studies in Kassel. She has held over 50 solo exhibitions. She represented Croatia at the 1997 Florence Biennial. Recipient of numerous painting awards.

Galerija Kovačić Macolić opened on December 22, 1990, in the baroque Sieber House in Ljudevita Gaja 13 street in Varaždin. It was founded by academic painters Gordana Kovačić Macolić and Slaven Macolić with a vision of a space dedicated to contemporary Croatian and international art. For over 35 years, we have been collecting, exhibiting, and selling artworks while steadily expanding our collection of modern and contemporary art.
